-Below are examples of penalty types which
may be given out. These Icons are used to show penalties that may be
given out if you fail to comply to the rules.

Qualification Penalty: Starting from Pit Lane or
Last on Grid. |
|
Time Penalty: ranging from 10 to 60 seconds. |
|
Championship Points: Reduction from 1 to 5pts. |
|
Disqualification: Banned from 1 Race to All-Season. |
1. Overview
- None of the below rules are designed to
catch you out.
- The Rules are there to help you understand what you can and cannot
do.
- Some Rules involve common sense. If something is dangerous, dont do
it.
- Other Rules need specific understanding: Race Meeting Procedure.
- The Rules are designed to be fair and to be safe.
- Violation of the below Rules may result in a penalty.
- The Administrators reserve the right to change the rules without notice.

- Choose the correct car. #1 Ferrari is different to #2 Ferrari. Check
the members page to see which car you have: members
page.
- You MUST have the RH2003 v1.2b installed.
- F1Racing uses the original .hdv files and engine.ini for each car.
The only file that is safe to modify is your .plr file.
- You may use your own setups and advanced setup menus.
3. General Regulations (All Sessions)
3.1 Spins
|
- If you spin OFF the track for any reason, you must
return to the track only if it is safe. You must not rejoin the track
if you risk hitting other drivers. |
|
- Drivers are strictly forbidden to drive their car
in the opposite direction to the race unless this is absolutely necessary
in order to move the car from a dangerous position. |
3.2 Blocking
|
- You cannot block a driver more than once in a corner
or down a straight. . |
|
- You may not run a competitor off the road under
any circumstances. |
|
- Blocking a car about to lap you is not allowed.
A Blue Flag indicates when you are about to be lapped, so allow the
car behind you to pass. |
3.3 Car Contact
|
- You may not hit another car under any circumstances. If you do hit a driver off the track, you must complete a drive through penalty (Go through the pits on the rpm limiter) or your time penalty will be doubled! |
|
- A driver who hits another from behind will be held
responsible for the accident. |
3.4 Yellow Flag
|
- The Yellow flags means Danger Ahead, so be prepared
to slow down or even stop! If you fail to react to the yellow flag
you will be penalised. |
|
- No Overtaking is permitted under yellow flag.
Exception: In case a spectator car or the #SERVER# car
is parked off track you may pass under the yellow flag generated by that car. Spectators and the
#SERVER# should try to park in an area where a yellow flag creates the least amount of confusion
and misunderstanding. |
3.5 The Defined Track
|
- The track is defined as the tarmac area in between and including
the white lines at the edge of the track. The rumble strips (striped
curbs) are part of the track. Green or other color tarmac is not
part of the track.

- A driver may not run wide and/or cut the track more than three
times in 2 laps. |
|
- One wheel must be on the track at all times. |
4. Qualification
|
- A Driver will have 1 timed lap ONLY in order to
qualify for the race, and only one driver can be on their hotlap
at anyone time. |
|
- Any Driver who fails to get a time within 107%
of the fastest laptime, may be excluded from the race. |
|
- The order of qualifying will be the previous race
results in reverse order (last to first place). |
|
- Talking is strictly prohibited during qualifying. |
5.1 Points Scoring
- The best 14 races out of the season
will count towards the final championship points.

5.2 Race Restarts
- The Race will be restarted for the following
reasons:
- An incident happens before the lights
go out.*
- A crash involving 3 or more cars on the first lap.*
- 30% of the drivers crash before lap 4.*
- 60% of the drivers crash before lap 8.*
- Server Crash before 50% race distance.**
* Race will be 100% Distance, and original Grid Used. All drivers may
rejoin.
** Race will be 75% Distance. Only Drivers racing before the Server
crashed may join. Drivers last known positions one lap before the crash
used for Grid Positions)

- ALL Drivers MUST IMMEDIATELY SLOW DOWN and return
to the pits when the #Server declares RED FLAG.
All drivers must then press 'Esc' and return to the chat screen for
instructions from the Admin. |
|
- Only the Admin may talk during the race to declare
a Red Flag. No Drivers may talk during the race. Drivers are only
permitted to talk if their car is out of position on the grid. |
6. Race Meeting Procedure
6.1 Joining the Game
- You must join the game at least 10 minutes
before the race is scheduled to start.
- If you get a .hdv mismatch on joining the game you MUST do the following:

1. Leave the Online Game.
2. Exit F1 Challenge.
3. Run 'F1 Challenge 99-02.exe' again.
4. Edit your player profile to match what you use in the race. Season, team and driver must match!
5. Rejoin the game.
(6. Repeat the above if you get the same error.) |
7. Post Race Procedure
7.1 Driver Telemetry
- ALL Drivers must save their telemetry after the race, even if they
crash.
- Go to your '\Telemetry\' folder where you installed F1 Challenge and
rename the file 'telemetry.spt' to '[name]-[track]-telemetry.spt'
e.g. 'AndyVG-Silverstone-Telemetry.spt'.
