Indianapolis Wet Weather: First Laps Submitted by: AndyVG - Posted on: 2003-09-26 13:58:42 CET |
The weather at the beginning of the race will be as follows:
Conditions = Overcast
TrackWetness = 10
AmbientTemp = 25
TrackTemp = 23
This means it will not be raining at the start but it will be cloudy. Trackwetness is very low at only 10%, but can mean the track is very slippery. The track temperature will be quite high, and the ambient temperature will also be high. Remember to use Intermediate or Wet tyres.
Please remember the overall weather will be wet, but no one except che, who designed the weather, will know when the weather will change. Che will not be racing, so no driver will have an advantage. (There will not be a monsoon).
[edit]
Che: Once it starts to rain it will continue to rain for a while until the sun comes out. It will not rain again!!! Good luck guys

Do not forget that the 6-7 of September we will make up Germany race. So start to practice and posting your times on the forums.

Hungaroring legal lines Submitted by: che - Posted on: 2003-08-16 19:36:06 CET |
Here are the legal lines for the Hungaroring race. You must keep 2 tires on the track at all times. The rumble strip is considered part of the track.
If you do leave the track, race marshals will make a determination if you gained time by cutting a corner or not. If they do determine that you have gained an advantage you will be placed at the back of the grid.
For more info please read this

F1RST2 Submitted by: che - Posted on: 2003-08-16 16:48:44 CET |
I would like to invite all the members to F1RST2. It is an online program similar to Relay or GameSpy, and they support all kinds of mods for both F1 2002 and F1 Challenge.
You can automatically download tracks, and the drivers are much more mature than on GameSpy. Tridon, annihalator, C.J. Marin and me have been racing all week there. We have been destroying the competition, including beating some NAR members in some ugly red cars. :)
Anyway here is the link to download the small program:
F1RST2.
It would be great to see more members there!

Measure your network performance Submitted by: DanTheMan - Posted on: 2003-08-05 18:55:26 CET |
A tutorial on how to properly measure your network performance for playing F1 Challenge online is now available. It describes both how to measure the bandwidth available and the connection latency.
The tests described in this tutorial will be mandatory for everyone that wants to join the league. We will also ask everyone that is having lag problems to run them.
The document is available in the tutorials section, or through the direct link below.

German GP, heat 1 aborted - race postponed Submitted by: DanTheMan - Posted on: 2003-08-03 03:45:09 CET |
After massive fallout on the initial laps of the German GP, the administrators decided to pull the plug on heat 1.
To ensure that we have enough time to adjust the rules and check everyone's connections it was also decided that heat 2 should be postponed.
The German GP is most likely going to be held Aug 30-31 or Sep 6-7, between the races at Hungaroring and Monza. More information available in the forum!

AndyVG wins the 2003 Foster's British Grand Prix Submitted by: DanTheMan - Posted on: 2003-07-24 15:17:42 CET |
AndyVG kept his car on the track while still pushing hard, allowing him to take the checkered flag almost half a lap before SkyNet. The last podium place was captured by Tridon despite having been forced by the marshals to start from the back of the grid. The full results are available online now!
